1. The ME NAU graduates will be well qualified to apply their
knowledge in one or more fields of mechanical engineering
practice, will be well qualified to pursue mechanical engineering
graduate or further professional studies in a mechanical
engineering field of their own choice.
2. The ME NAU graduates will be qualified to apply their
knowledge of fundamental engineering principles in a variety
of mechanical engineering applications, hence rendering them
competitive in the professional market.
3. The ME NAU graduates will be qualified to apply their
professional and ethical knowledge and educational experiences
at NAU to provide leadership in the technical community and
society at large.
4. The ME NAU graduates will have the knowledge and ability
to complement their engineering skills independently in a
lifelong learning process dictated by a continuing changing and
global market environment.
5. The ME NAU graduates will have essential skills in writing,
critical reading, critical thinking and creative thought enabling
them to assume leadership engineering roles in engineering
management, project management or to become effective
multidisciplinary team members in mechanical engineering
design, planning, manufacturing, maintenance, operation,
testing, analysis, synthesis and research related to engineering
systems and components that require mechanical engineering
expertise.
