Student Employment Opportunities
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics hires several undergraduate students to serve as GRADERS. Graders are assigned to a faculty member and are typically paid for three hours of grading per class section. To become a grader, you must complete an application (see below). Pay starts at $5.15/hour and is dependent upon experience.
The Department also hires several COMPUTER LAB ASSISTANTS. These students staff the Macintosh computer laboratory during open hours, which typically run from mid-afternoon to 9pm Monday - Thursday. The lab assistant's schedules are based upon their avaiilability. The current pay is $6.00/hour.
Each semester some students are hired as OFFICE HELP. The schedule is flexible based on the student's availability. Students typically photocopy, answer phones, and staff the front window in the main office. The pay starts at $5.15/hour.
The Department also maintains a list of people who are interested in being PRIVATE TUTORS. If you would like to be on this list, please fill out an application. The pay for private tutoring is up to you!
The NAU Learning Assistance Center frequently seeks to hire math tutors. Contact them for more information.
