Research Experience for Undergraduates Applications Summer 2008
Application Deadline - Friday March 7th , 2008
To apply, compile a packet containing the following and submit it via U.S. Mail.
- Fill out the Official Application Form (See Project Descriptions prior to making that choice).
- Either have two faculty members fill out a Faculty Sponsor Form and return it to you in a signed, sealed envelope or have the faculty members e-mail letters directly to Terence.Blows@nau.edu
- On a separate sheet, list all mathematics courses you have taken (together with text books used). If you have taken Independent Study or Undergraduate Research courses, please state topic. As several of the projects involve the use of computers, indicate familiarity with programming and mathematical software. Finally, indicate expected date of graduation, and your immediate plans after graduation.
- Obtain a current (unofficial) copy of your transcripts. If the courses you are currently enrolled in are not indicated on this transcripts, please add them to the preceding list.
- Write a one-page, double-spaced "Statement of Interest" indicating why you wish to participate in Northern Arizona University's REU program. Indicate the area(s) of mathematics or statistics that interest you the most, and why they do.
Enclose the Official Application Form, the two Faculty Sponsor Forms, course listing, transcripts, and Statement of Interest in a single envelope and mail to:
