Supplemental Academic Advising: We offer advising as needed in addition to seeing your assigned advisor. We can also come in handy especially if your advisor is unavailable! We also offer assistance in understanding university academic policies.

Career and Professional Advisement: We work closely with the College's Scholarship and Internship office and have several resource materials available to you including, resume, cover letter, scholarship books and materials. We'd be happy to review your resume, offer tips on job and internship searches as well as financial aid!

Freshman College Survival Skills Course: The course is available every fall  and on occasion in the spring semester. This course is designed to orient and provide incoming freshman students with "survival skills" to succeed in the challenging engineering academic environment.

Academic/Professional Development Workshops: Throughout the academic year we provide a variety of workshops whose purpose is to help students reach their full potential. Past workshops have included: "Life After Career Fair ", "The Guaranteed 4.0 Seminar", Resumé Workshops, and others. We often try to partner with other projects with similar goals to establish these workshops.

Learning Assistance Center (LAC): We highly recommend students utilized the Learning Assistance Center for their tutoring needs. However, we will take request for tutoring that is currently not available through the LAC. We will search for a tutor for you and assist in establishing the help you need.

Multicultural Academic and Peer mentoring Program (MAPP): We offer mentoring to Freshman and Sophomore level students, upper class levels, namely Juniors and some Seniors will mentor under class levels. Both the participating Mentors and Mentees will be offered a $200.00 stipend after successful completion of the program requirements. For more information click HERE

Student Organization Support: The MEP supports the goals of the organizations of AISES, SHPE, NSBE (NSBE currently is inactive, if you are interested in reactivating this club please contact us!!) and SWE (SWE is currently reestablishing itself, if you are interested in this club, please contact us!!). By acting in the capacity of a co-advisor, MEP assists in outreach projects, club activities and funding at the request of the clubs.
