Our dedicated faculty involvement in research spans each of the disciplines and the university. Some of the exciting projects where our faculty are
making a difference include: leading the statewide planning for restoring Arizona's forests; discovering new drugs, methods of diagnosing infectious
diseases, and cancer treatments; improving the efficiency and affordability of renewable energy sources; searching for new planets outside the solar
system; and investigating the causes and consequences of global climate change. In addition, faculty members are contributing to the preparation of
yet another generation of mathematics and science teachers through our innovative
Master of Arts in Science Teaching degree program.
