CEFNS IT Help Desks
The CEFNS IT Help Desk is available at two locations on campus; these are:
North Campus – Biology building 21 room 165
South Campus – Engineering building 69 room 225
Both these locations are normally staffed for normal business hours during fall and spring semesters excluding finals week. These help desks are run by knowledgeable and helpful students and are for the use of staff, faculty and students.
They can be visited in person or can be contacted via our standard help desk number of 928 523-8084. You can leave a message on this line if no one is available when you ring.
If a problem occurs out of hours then we have a work order system that can accept emails and automatically create a ticket item for you. To use this system just send an email to cefnsithelp@nau.edu with a clear subject line and some specific details. Here it really helps that you specify your office location and if it involves your computer, the “computer name”. This can be found by right-clicking the “My Computer” icon on the desktop or in the Start Menu and choosing properties. Then in Windows XP clicking the “Computer Name” tab or in Vista by first clicking “Advanced System properties”. The name will be next to the “Full Computer name:” listing something like: bio249.bio.nau.edu.
